The Queens of kitsch

is known to all. In the sprawling borough where I spend time, people are houseproud.

They take their front yards seriously.

Though whimsy is welcome.

All kinds of wildlife reside in Queens. That’s a crab between turtle and owl.

Usually there is some kind of spiritual sentiment.

The holidays linger on.

For months. But give credit. Green thumbs thrive.
