Also, be aware that mint, in all it’s forms, is invasive and will soon grow away from the site you plant it in if you just plant it in the ground. All forms of mint grow well in good sized containers, provided they have lots of humus and are not over- or under-watered. No kind of mint tolerates drought, so do keep your mint wet, but too much water and you end up with dead mint.
The best mints for tea are spearmint and peppermint.

Be aware that not all lavender is created equal. If you want to eat it please only grow Lavandula officinalis. Other forms are grown for their flowers and are not recommended for consumption. However, Lavandula officinalis has flowers that can be eaten and used in this recipe.
